All Florida Real Estate Career Programs are NOW Available ONLINE
- May 19, 2015 ArchiveIt has taken sometime but now an individual can get their career started in all Florida's real estate professions from their home.
Back around 2000, real estate licensing courses became available online. This last year, the Florida Real Estate Appraisal Board approved distance learning for their required license courses for one to obtain an appraisal Trainee license along with the Certified Residential and Certified General license requirements.
The Florida Community Association Manager's (CAM) license is available online. Students have been able to satisfy the required license course through correspondence. This last year, our school submitted the 18 hour course in an online format and we now currently have the only online CAM course in Florida.
A couple of years ago the home inspector license became available online but the law stated that the student must attend 20 hours of the 120 hour course requirement in a classroom. But that law has now changed, so the full 120 hour home inspector license course is all available online.
About three years ago the mortgage licensing program was taken over nationally and the required NMLS courses are available online but only in a synchronous format (instructor and student need to be online at the same time). This format is certainly not the most convenient but at least the course can be taken by the student from home.
